hello..!
hi everyone!

Well teenstreet was amazing wasn't it! It's just really great meeting a bunch of new friends and at the same time spending time with God through His Word, prayer and worship. The worship was awesome! Oh and we even made a difference in someone's life...eventhough it may be just in a small way. Seeing the happy smiles on the kids faces when we gave them the presents...wow..hehe!

Really glad I joined teenstreet. It made me realise that I really taken a lot of stuff for granted. Not only material things but also stuffs like prayer and obedience la...yea..

Okie so since we are talking about prayer now, a few of us are sitting for exams soon (the horror) ^^ so lets pray for them k?

smk usj 4 (15 may) - marissa, chia mei, jia ying
smk S.U - jo-lyn (22 may), jo-yee (21 may), mabel, michelle, edward, denyse(21 may)

arthur's driving exam (11 may)

(brenda and leonard when's your exam??)

*let me know if i left out anyone k?

oh...and we need to think of a name for our youth...any ideas ar?? get those creative juices flowing cause if you guys think of a name I don't have to! hehe. just kidding.

God bless,
su ann

Teenstreet 9 to 9
Praise the Lord! Teenstreet 9to9 was a blast!

It's my first teenstreet ever today. Wanted to go for it years back but jus didn't get a chance due to exams. Thank God for bringing me to Teenstreet today. Unfortunately, was too old to be a participant, way over the age limit..LOL but yeah, its jus great that I could help out as a coach.

Didn't really know who signed up for it though before I went. Great to see CBC youths there among the many youths from various churches.=D The activities todays were great and truly the presence of God was there.

I just wentBack to the activities, well the part that really spoke to me was during Teens in Mission(TiM). Basically, the team members were asked to wrapped a gift for the children in PJS7 community. Never in my mind would I imagined myself knocking the doors of unknown people to present a gift to them. My heart felt great joy seeing the smiles of the children and family. It was just beautiful thing to show love to the community. This feeling of joy is something that I've never experience in my working life (yet).

Next was prayer journey. It really was a great time of reflection, about God's love, about our personal relationship with Him and reflection upon how we are to change to be obey His commands.on what we can do as Christians to help those in needs. It spoke to many of us in the group. Constantly we're only looking about our inadequacy and complain about what we're provided (computer not fast enough la ...etc). Never did we realise that people not so far from us is in poverty...imagine, few ringgit a day? How did they survive? Probably its not enough to buy a meal here in Malaysia, but they are surviving on that amount of money for a day.... I guess we really need to thank God for where we are now, thank God that we're in Malaysia not starving in Africa. Thank God that we have a freedom to choose to choose our religion and believe in Christ and not being controlled by the preset laws of the country.

Praise God for the OM team Malaysia for this wonderful event that they've organized. Oh. 1 more thing, worship was Awesome! Teenstreet band was great. Was first time ever that I see so many youths jumping around in CBC!! A truly new experience in church. =)

Looking forward to the next Teenstreet! Hopefully will see you there!

God bless,
Stella

hmm...
this blog should really be updated...hehe!

ok anyways i read an email today that really got me thinking. Its from some guy named James Lau (anyone know who this is...cause i don't..i have no idea how he got my email wei...)

Okie so...the title of it was 'do small things with great love' and i totally agree with it. In my opinion rite...you don't have to do really really big things to show great love to God and others. Even a small little thing can brighten someone's day. For example, a smile, a handshake, a word of encouragement...stuff like that.

Someone once told me that every morning she looks forward to see this friend of hers, to hear her bright cheery 'hi!' and see that happy smile on her face. Even when she comes to school all gloomy, meeting this friend really cheers her up!

So you see...just being friendly and happy can make a difference...you don't even have to donate a billion bucks to an orphanage or something...(but if you could then it'll be great!) hehe...

There are really a lot of unhappy people about...in school, tuition, college, work. So why not show some of God's love in a small way? Noticed a girl sitting by herself, looking lonely? Go and say hi! Ask how is she doing...instead of hanging out with your normal bunch of friends, sit beside someone that you don't normally talk to in class. Sometimes what a person really needs is someone to hear them out, you know?

when you do little things for others, you do big things for Jesus! (daily bread)

ok...this is really amateur-ish la..but its my first time doing it. so...yea.. =)

happy labour day!

God bless and take care!
