Hahaha =)
We had a birthday bash on 20 Sept to celebrate those birthdays from April to Sept. It was an awesome time of fellowship, with loads of pizza and cake. Hey, you only turn a year older once a, erm, year! Thank you Leonard for taking the pics. That's why he's not inside the pics btw.
Alright, just a gentle reminder, uphold the PMR candidates in prayer as they are going to sit for their PMR next week. All the best and God bless.
And whoever is free to volunteer/love kids/want to lose weight/have nothing better to do than to rot at home, please come and help out for the VBS. Contact Su Ann or Edmond via handphone or facebook or email or pigeon if you would like to help out or donate anything. Trust me when I saw it is gonna be really fun and awesome.
Marissa

ice cream!
Hi guys!

Hmm remember quite some time ago we learnt how to make ice cream from our very own Adam Khoo?!? wells....i just got the pics of it! yay. hehe. =D

okie i cant really remember how to make it....but i think i got the gist of it.

so...

1) get a bowl, half-fill it with milk
2) add sugar! loads of it if u want it sweet!
3) add flavouring/essence...eg. vanilla or lemon essence
4) stir stir stir..
5) pour it into a ziplock bag (bag that closes with a zip?) and remove all the air from it, zip it.
6) take a plastic bag and fill it with ice...loads of it!
7) bury your milk filled ziplock bag into the ice and add LOADS of salt. like 10 tablespoons of it. (i think)

*make sure your ziplock bag isnt leaky and is closed up properly or u'll get salty ice cream..eww. XD

8) wrap it up in newspaper and shake shake shake!
9) open it up and voila! ice cream!!

yummy!

enjoy the pics! =)

thx brenda for the pics!

God bless! =)

Burnt Toast...
A story by a girl.

"When I was a little girl, my mom liked to make breakfast food for
dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when
she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work.

On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage,
and extremely burned toast in front of my dad. I remember waiting to
see if anyone noticed!

Yet all my dad did was reach for his toast, smile at my mom, and ask
me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that
night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that
toast and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom
apologize to my dad for burning the toast. And
I'll never forget what he said: 'Baby, I love burned toast.'

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if
He really liked his toast burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said,
'Debbie, your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real
tired. And besides-a little burnt toast never hurt anyone!' You know,
life is full of imperfect things.....and imperfect people. I'm not the
best housekeeper or cook.'

What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each
other's faults
- and choosing to celebrate each other's differences -
is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and
lasting relationship.

And that's my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the
good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the
feet of GOD. Because in the end, He's the only One who will be able to
give you a relationship where burnt toast isn't a deal-breaker!

We could extend this to any relationship in fact - as understanding
is the base of any relationship, be it a husband-wife or parent-child
or friendship!! "

"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket but
into your own."

See through God's eyes and feel through God's heart
And you will appreciate the value of every soul including yourself.

God bless you all richly

Have a wonderful day !

hmm...got this is an email and thought i should share it with u guys. =)
